Groovy Codebeamer Scripting

This Groovy scripting library offers easy business process automation of project resources managed by a Codebeamer server. It is used for integrated tracker and build management at USDA.

• Automated build/release/documentation management driven by status information in trackers,
• Checking the progress of 'bug-fixing' across different tracker on different CB server in one effort.
• Perform a cross-server/cross-user/cross-project check about the health of different CB resources.
• Perform admin operations against a Codebeamer instance.
• Automated copying of files from a Codebeamer project to a deployment box after successful server-side build.
• Support a ScrumMaster with enough information for a Sprint Review Meeting on accomplished features and open issues.

This library builds on top of the Codebeamer Webserice API. Since the Codebeamer API is a low level API, an easy to use scripting interface that allows the assembly of Codebeamer process steps into more complex operations is more productive to manage for project manager.

It enhances the Codebeamer API with a Groovy Scripting API as a convenience layer for specific (ad-hoc) automation purposes. By using just a few lines of Groovy scripting code a Codebeamer user can manage a Codebeamer instance in a headless and automated way and may also integrate CB features in applications.
